-61,3% are dedicated to curing diseases.
During the 2008 financial year, AFM invested 66 million euros in curing diseases.
This involves expenses incurred in research and development of therapeutics (32,2 million euros), as well as the Généthon laboratory (21,2 million euros), the Myology Institute (7,1 million euros) and I-Stem (2,6 million euros).

- The functioning of the Association : 1,4 million euros

- VLM magazine : 0,37 million euro
- Internet : 0,39 million euro
- Others : 1,42 million euros

13 041 052 euros of the resources were dedicated in 2008  to the fund-raising expenses.
The expenses incurred in appealing to public generosity include :
-Donation and bequest processing costs.
-Post office costs incurred by pledges and fiscal receipts.
-Participation in the production of the Telethon 30 hour –TV show.
-Equipment and logistics of the 134 coordinating teams.
- 36 37 pledge number service.
-Development of the fund-raising website www.telethon.fr

Administrative expenses : 7,1%

8 540 172 euros of the resources were dedicated to the running of the Association in 2008 :
- Administrative expenses (general management, administration, informatics, the accounts department, the human resources department, general services)
- The Association’s governing bodies (general meeting, the board of directors, management committee)
- Financial communication ( Annual Report, accounts)
- General meeting.
