Key figures

• 102,3 million euros raised in 2007;
• 30 hours of festivities broadcast for the longest live TV show in the world ; 
• 22, 000 events which liven up French towns and villages, including overseas territories; 65,000 volunteers involved in the organisation of events; 
• 1,500 volunteers in 133 regional coordinating committees who organise this event throughout the year. These committees represent the Telethon locally, relay the communication campaign and help the organisers of events. Last, but not least, they guarantee that the funds are properly transferred and are responsible for safety during local events. 
• Nearly 5 million people participate; 
• 4,000 telephone lines to answer the pledge number : 36 37 ; 
• 1.2 million pledges taken by 24,000 Lions Club members; 
• 2,1 million Internet page consultations in 30 hours ; 
• A hundred national partners who support the Telethon (companies, federations, professional organisations) ; 
• Nearly 30,000 articles published by the national and local press ; 
• A single objective : collect funds to fight all aspects of neuromuscular diseases, from therapeutic research to improvement in patients' daily lives.
