Assistance in congresses, symposia, seminars and work-groupsThe AFM participates financially in the organisation of congresses and symposia. A member of its Scientific Council is specifically designated to advise on all requests for financing. All the dossiers studied are then submitted to the board of directors who have the final say.
For example, it was in order to encourage the emergence of projects and networks that the AFM organised a symposium on limb-girdle muscular dystrophies in 2006. Thus more than 200 international specialists were able to share their knowledge in such fields as molecular functions, the physiopathology of animal models, genetic and clinical diagnoses and therapeutic strategies. |
