Created in 1990 on AFM’s initiative, the European Neuromuscular Centre brought about European collaborations in the area of research on neuromuscular diseases, through workshops and consortia. ENMC promotes research, prevention and treatment of neuromuscular diseases, collects and circulates scientific information on these diseases.In 2001 and for the next few years, ENMC has placed the emphasis on research focusing on therapies and therapeutic trials which, indirectly, improve the management of neuromuscular diseases.
